The Morris Canal Redevelopment Area Community Development Corporation (MC CDC) is a non-profit organization with a goal of stimulating the cultural and economic revitalization of the Morris Canal/Lafayette & surrounding Areas in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The MC CDC began twelve years ago as a neighborhood coalition and after years of hard work and numerous roadblocks, we have finally broken the ground and will soon start construction on our first project!

 

 

On Wednesday, July 27, 2011 the Morris Canal CDC broke ground on a new development in the Lafayette section of Jersey City. The new project is called Pacific Landing, an eight unit affordable housing development. The project will contain 5 two-bedroom apartments and 3 three-bedroom apartments and will also house the offices of the Morris Canal CDC (MC CDC) and serve as a meeting place for community events.
